Let's talk TV. It's that time of year again when I embarrass myself beyond repair by writing out/planning/obsessing over the return of new TV and the Fall 2015 line-up.
But first, let's discuss last night's premier episode of Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
It's not too very fair to just judge the first episode. It take s a while for talk show hosts to find their "sea legs". Having said that, last night's Colbert was....meh. My chief complaint was the geriatric feel of the whole thing. The set is pretty dates looking (despite the flat screens behind the desk) and the band was sooooooo old and boring. Even the theme song they played Stephen in with sounded cliche and dated.
The OREO cookie/Donald Trump bit was great! Loved it and laughed at it.
I'm not giving up on Stephen yet, but this is certainly a shaky start.
Now onto the Fall line-up. Here's what I've got cooked up for the hours I intend to waste on petty television. All of these times are MST.
MONDAY
Nothing.
TUESDAY
7:00 // The Muppets - ABC (This had better be good!)
9:00 // Best Time Ever with Neil Patrick Harris - NBC (Uncertain of this one, but love NPH.)
WEDNESDAY
7:00 // Survivor - CBS (I'm obsessed)
8:00 // Modern Family - ABC (Shaky last season, but I'll still DVR this)
8:00 // Empire - Fox (Never watched yet. May catch up on Season 1 and start in. Thoughts?)
THURSDAY
7:00 // Project Runway - Lifetime (my first love)
8:00 // Scandal - ABC (the season finale from last year was CRAZY!)
9:00 // Elementary - CBS (Matt and I love this!)
FRIDAY
7:00 // Amazing Race - CBS (Always been a fan and always will be)
7:30 // Dr. Ken - ABC (We'll see. could be good)
8:00 // Shark Tank - ABC (Not always into this, but sometimes it's good)
SATURDAY
Saturday TV sucks.
SUNDAY
6:00 // Great British Baking Show - PBS (you NEED to be watching this!)

The problem with The Great British Baking Show is that the 'new' season that PBS is airing this year is actually season 4 of the British version from two years ago, not the new season 6 that is currently airing across the pond. They're pawning the season from before the one they showed us last year, so I feel cheated.
Jaitlyn - TRUE, but I can't find a way to access the British version (even online) so it's all new to me!
K and liked the season that PBS aired originally so much that we watched season 4 on some janky 1/2 screen youtube version, so we already know who wins :(
Love PR and the GBBS. I watched Late Night with Stephen Colbert last night (second episode) and I liked the giant hat bit but he kinda badgered Scarlett Johansen. That was his style before but it doesn't work in this context. I hope it gets better.
