CLEAN SWEEP!

3.30.2006
I have finally hit my breaking point with moving into this new house. I have decided to have a CLEAN SWEEP and weed out everything and really unload every box. That means no scrapbooking for a while as my spare time will be used up with organizing.

Matt and I are heading out today to buy organization tupperwares and containers and the crazy cleaning will begin. We have decided to finish the projects in the home renovations like tiling the kitchen floor (it has it's origional tile from 1947) finishing little painting projects, hanging pictures and putting up the crown moulding. Wish me luck...it's going to be quite a JOB!!!

I WILL PREVAIL OVER MESS!

N.C.A.A.....how about S.C.R.A.P?

Matt e-mailed me a NCAA Tournament bracket from his work today and asked me to make my picks. Now, I like watching basketball on TV and all that, but this is a list of about a million teams I've never heard of....Marquette....Bucknell.....Villanova?

So I spent a long ten minutes filling out my "picks" based on how much I liked the sound of their name. I migth be rigth so here is the proof of what a psychic genius I am. And my final two are...UCLA vs. North Carolina. My choice for big winner is.....(drumroll please).....

North Carolina!

Does it mean anything? Not really. I might get lucky (REALLY lucky) and pick the actual winner and earn the respect of my male in-laws. It might not be so bad...maybe I can scrap while Matt is glued to the games....ahhhh....marriage.

MAMA MIA!!!

3.07.2006
This morning I am cuddling Ella and reading her a story and I keep getting this whiff of garlic smell. I look at her and jokingly say, "Ella, have you been eating garlic???" She smiles. We continue playing together all morning and I continually smell this harsh and very strong garlic smell. I figure that somewhere in the room there must be something putting off this weird smell.

In a while I put Ella down for her morning nap and hand her her bottle and she starts choking a bit. I take out the bottle and sweep her mouth with my finger and there it is....
A full clove of chewed up garlic in one cheek and the papery casing of the clove of garlic in the other!!!

I have absolutely NO idea where this kid could have got a hold of this clove of garlic. P.S. How in the world did she chew on it all morning without flinching. If I chewed on a piece of raw garlic i think my eyes would be watering! That makes the list of weird/disgusting things we have found in her mouth as follows:

A nail in a chunk of plastic that the Cable Man left behind
A chunk of raw chicken fat (so gross...that's a story for later)
AA batteries
A huge bunch of dust bunny from the bedroom
1 clove OF raw garlic, casing included

If this kid lives until the age of 5 we should all congratulate me since she has almost died about a million times and somehow, she thrives!
