i'm not into elton john.
i don't really get the appeal.
i don't really love his music.
benny and the jets? weird.
tiny dancer? just okay.
your song? not into it even after moulan rouge was all the rage.
but last week i was watching a disney show with my girls (against my will) and they covered your song. and for the very first time i "got it". how sweet the lyrics are. how lovely the message. how simple the melody and how it is just right when stripped down to just voices and a guitar.
so, here it is.
is it wrong that this is my favorite version ever?

I hear ya on Elton John. Have you heard the Ellie Goulding version? Also a good cover.
i am also not a fan of elton john, to put it mildly. i've been chastised and shunned twice recently for this. i am so glad i'm not alone.
