Life has been so crazy lately that I feel very frantic. I hate that feeling. I am a control freak and like to feel on top of everything, but February brought chaos and March has been the same.
On top of it all a cold went through Jude to Matt and settled on me. Now my already scrambled brain is in a fog and I spend the night coughing instead of sleeping.
Yesterday morning I woke up earlier than usual. Matt was already gone (he had an early meeting), the girls were downstairs before school watching cartoons and Jude was still asleep. I just lay in my snuggly bed in silence. And then I noticed the birds outside my window singing. It was the sweetest sound I have heard for a while. It transported me back to early Spring mornings when I was a child and I would head out of the house to wait at the bus stop and everything was quiet except for the birds.
I am most definitely not a morning person, but yesterday morning, I swear those sweet melodies soothed my harried spirit and brought peace into my heart. I am thankful to God for these tiny miracles that bring beauty into direct contact with my heart when I most need it.

I was positive you were going to say and then I got out the gun and shot the dang things.
Your ending is way better than mine!
Beautiful. And me too. I am thankful. Hope you are feeling better soon.
