I am not a super-girly-girl, but do I ever love a good pedicure. One of my favorite joys of beinbg a mom to girls is the hallowed Mommy/Daughter Pedicure.
Today Bianca and I joined my friend Marie and her daughter and had a Girls' Afternoon. We started with lunch at Kneaders (the Panera of Utah, but waaay better). We ate sandwiches and snacked on cookie and grapes and chatted. The little girls played under the table with their kids' meal prizes.
These cute little girls don't see each other too often, since we live about 40 minutes away from each other, but when they do they pick right up as long lost besties. While we ordered our food they held hands and jumped up and down for 5 minutes straight while giggling.
Then it was off to the salon! I got a pedicure and Bianca got a pedicure and fingernail polish! She was completely enchanted by soaking her feet, while sitting in the massage chair and watching a kids' movie. She kept looking over at me and exclaiming "Mom! This is SO FUN!!!"
Marie and I got to have great conversation while a lovely woman massaged my unshaved legs and exfoliated my feet!
In solidarity with Bianca I got tiny white polka-dots painted over my base color. When the little girls were finished they headed over to the aquarium to hunt for Nemo.
It was such an fun afternoon. I think we're going to make this a monthly event!

"The Best Part of Being a Mom to Girls"...who actually allow fun things like this. :) I have a girl who has never had her toenails painted and if I try completely freaks out.
