Scary World

10.15.2014
Today my 7 year old, Evangeline, mentioned "Slender Man" in a casual conversation. Ella totally knew what she was referencing. And that's when I freaked out (internally)!

I then had a serious talk with BOTH redheads about
where they had seen clips of "Slender Man",
who showed it to them,
and that they are NEVER allowed to watch anything with him in it.

Do you know where Ella first saw it?
School.
SCHOOL!!!

WTH is going on in this world?!

Oh man that is scary! How did she view it at school? I would be having a talk with the school for sure. My 6 year old son brought him a rainbow loom 'trick' last week that was definitely not appropriate in any way. It's pretty sobering to think how young our children are exposed to these things.

Seems like the school's internet security would block certain sites or at least they should. What other sites are being seen at school?

Yes. the stupid internet. I can't believe she could see it at school and that she hadn't come to you about it before (meaning with her anxiety). Crazy.
