I have never kept my children in a cage.
However, they did smash themselves into their dress-up trunk yesterday.

The area beneath your armoire looks like under my couch. We have three cats. I find pens, hair bands, barrettes, milk cap rings, dice, coins, wads of paper, etc. under there.
And I don't keep them in a cages either.
