Organized AND Inspired

1.20.2009
I am feeling very scrappy today. I have almost finished cleaning out and organizing my scrapping space and I am thrilled with how it is going so far. I took a hint from the wonderful Wendy Smedley, who wrote The Organized and Inspired Scrapbooker.

I reevaluated my scrapping needs and how I create. The greatest concept that has come from that line of thought is creating a basic tools box. Instead of pulling multiple basic items from their designated spot each time I scrap, I have combined them all into one box. Then I can just grab my box and get to work! Genius, Wendy.

Here's my box and here's what's inside...you can click on the image to make it larger. I am going to test drive the contents of this box for a week or two and see how it is working for me. Some items might go (like the acrylic block) and some items might be added (like my Provocraft Silent Setter).

I've been in organizing mode, too & I read that same book over the weekend. My favorite take-away is the journaling basket. Can't wait to get mine put together, but I have some purging to finish first.

I love this book too, I used my TA credit at CKC VF to purchase it. I am so glad I did. I'm working on being more productive....as I sit here typing on the computer. Baby steps right?
I found a kitchen basket at TJ Max for my basics and I have little bowls that I put do dads in.
I love the LO, great colors!
How many LO's do you typically complete to still have never before seen for pub as well as ones that you share?
Okay I'm rambling now....:-)

your layout is absolutely stunning!!!! I LOVE it!

That's funny to see which material is essential for others: I never use my corner rounding punch, but I always need my scissors...

I've never read that book, but I have a litle tin that I keep all my essentials in on my scrapping desk: adhesive, corner rounder, black, brown, & white pens, scissors, foam dots, & any new embellishments that I want to keep handy so I'll use them. Who knew I was so organized?? :P (not me!)
