I guess I never made a formal announcement here on the blog, but a few months back I was asked to join the Big Picture Scrapbooking team of educators. I was so thrilled! I just love what that site (and what Stacy Julian) stands for in scrapbooking. To keep it easy and fun.
I am currently finishing up the planning phase of my very first class. And it is going to be wicked fun. more info on that closer to the launch date. Anyhoo, part of the BPS classroom is hearing an audio message from your instructor.
You know how everyone hates their voice when they hear it back on a recording? Well MY voice always sounds like it's on a recording to my own ear. I'm not trying to glean compliments or reassurance from those of you who know me...I'm just saying, I have a very forceful and tonal voice. So imagine my excitement at the prospect of recording my voice. I did, in fact, get over myself and started making some trial samples last night. It was rough. Stacy assures me it gets easier with time, but for now I want you to think about the last time you set your Out-Going Message on your home answering machine. How many tries did it take to capture a decent 15 second clip? 100? Yep, that sounds right. And this audio clip for BPS is 5-6 minutes long with no option to edit.
I restarted so many times that Ella came over and said she wanted to try. She also fell pray to the microphone=phobia and stuttered and paused a lot. That's my girl! I have said many times to friends and to my hubby that her voice is 5 octaves higher than the average toddler and I finally have proof. Prepare to be amazed. No helium or editing was used in the making of this sound clip. It is her honest to goodness voice.
Please to enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw4akxmDJus

The chicken's little voice is so cute. I also love how her story encompasses so many different things and aspects of her life. She even through a little marriage in there! Hello...what a fun girl.
