Ick. I'm becoming a "mommy blogger".

11.19.2013
Confession:

I dislike it when Moms make their profile picture their kid or have a handle like "JacksMommy". Not because obsessing over your kids is wrong...because it's not...but because I think it sometimes marginalizes women.

Yes, being a mom is the most important thing in my life right now, but it's not the only thing. I am a woman and an artist and a wife and reader and a teacher and a photographer, etc.

But I toggled through my own blog posts lately and...oy...I have become a one-dimmensional, mommy-blogger.  It's only photos of my kids and updates about my kids and blabbering about my kids.

So here's one more post and then I'm writing something dimensional tomorrow.  Promise.

This morning Bianca was "reading" a book to Jude and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever.  (Oh dear, I just died a little inside as I typed those words.)

I like it. motherhood takes up the majority of your life right now,, plus you have seriously cute kids.

I don't really have anything to say but since all my family has chimed in I thought I should too!

I read your blog because I love getting a little glimpse of your life (would that make me a stalker? or would I not be a stalker cuz I actually leave comments?)
Most days (for me) are spent doing things with and for my kids so naturally that's what we would see.
It never bothers me that you are a "mommy blogger" sometimes. If it did, I would stop reading.
I love all your posts. Even the very few I don't agree with.
